Books for 5-Year-Olds Who Love Animals

Five is the year many children start recognising words on the page. Read-aloud picture books and simple early readers both have a place. These picks are full of animals, from pets and farm animals to jungle creatures, chosen so the story matters as much as the animal.

Every book on this page is in the RentToRead library. Tell us about your child and we'll pick 4, 6 or 8 books a month matched to their reading level, with free delivery and pickup. Start your child's box.
