RentToRead is a children's book rental membership for ages 0 to 12.

Every month we choose a box of books for your child — matched to their age, their interests and how they actually read — deliver it free, and collect it when they're done. No late fees, no deposit, and nothing to store afterwards. When the box goes back, the next one is already being chosen.

We started from a simple belief: every child should get to fall in love with reading, and the right book at the right moment is what makes that happen. Choosing that book is the hard part. A child who is handed something too easy gets bored, and one handed something too hard decides reading is not for them. So we built the matching rather than leaving it to chance — a short set of questions about your reader, and a growing, carefully chosen collection across picture books, early readers, fiction, non-fiction, mythology, adventure, humour and more.

Books come back, go out again, and find another reader. That is better for your shelves, better for your budget, and better for the planet than buying books a child outgrows in a season.

Saumya Mathur, Founder, RentToRead

Saumya holds a double Masters in Environment & Development from the University of Edinburgh, UK, and Natural Resources Management from TERI. She worked for 10 years in the industry in various roles before taking a break to spend quality time with her two daughters. RentToRead was born out of her passion towards sustainability and also a realization that children who read more are more likely to succeed in life. Her love for books, storytelling and children fuels this platform.
