How can I start renting books?
Once you are logged in, you can simply browse books and add books to the
cart. Once you are done selecting the books, you can proceed to check out and
follow the process. It’s that simple!
How long can I rent the books for?
You can keep the books for one month. Please initiate your return request
within 30 days.
Are there any shipping charges?
There is a shipping charge of Rs 100 on orders less than Rs. 299/- . Orders above
Rs. 299 are free.
How many books can I rent at one time?
You can rent as many books as you want
Can I keep the books for longer than a month?
Yes, you can request for a free one-time extension for 7 days simply by
emailing us at contact@renttoread.com.
Is there a late fee after the free one-time extension?
For further extension request, we will deduct 50% of the rental price from the security deposit. If you fail to return the books, you will be charged the entire amount of security deposit.
Why are you taking security deposit?
We want good books to be accessible to all and hence have kept the rentals discounted. However, we need to cover the cost of loss or damage to our books. This deposit is refunded once the books are returned in good condition within the time.
What will happen if the book gets damaged a little?
For minor damages which can be fixed by us, we don’t charge any penalty. However if the books are damaged beyond repair or are lost, we will deduct 100% of the security deposit. If you have received damaged books, please inform us within 24 hours
The books were perfect when I handed over to the pickup agent, but seemsthey were damaged in transit. Will my deposit be refunded?
Yes ofcourse! If the damage was done in transit, or if the books get lost in transit, you will get your deposit back.
How do I return the books?
Once you are done reading, just email us at contact@renttoread.com and your pick-up will be scheduled. Our introductory email will also contain the details. You should also try to pack the books in the original bubble wrap packaging to avoid any damage to the books in transit.
Can I return from a different address?
Yes you can. But you should inform us at the time of renting as we need to check the availability of service in the return pin code beforehand.
I can’t find the books I was looking for?
If you don’t find what you are looking for, just email us at contact@renttoread.com or drop us a message in the form on website, and we will notify you when we have the book
Can I donate books to you?
Yes, we would love to hear from you. Please write to us at contact@renttoread.com
